BROOKLYN CRYOTHERAPY SERVICES

Brooklyn Cryotherapy

Cryobody BK offers Brooklyn Cryotherapy services to those who want to improve mental and physical health. Cryobody BK has the equipment and expertise to provide whole body cryotherapy (WBC) and localized cryotherapy. Cryotherapy uses cold, dry air to induce the body to self-heal.  The air is extremely cold, typically -184F to -260F (−120°C and −160°C).  A typical whole body cryotherapy session is only 5 minutes so it is much faster than sitting in an ice bath.

Studies show that cryotherapy can stimulate the circulatory system, the nervous system, and the energy meridians. Most studies focus on the treatment of sports injuries, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and skin conditions like psoriasis and dermatitis. Results suggest that cryotherapy accelerates the body’s recovery and healing process. Because this treatment relies on your own healing abilities, cytotherapeutic benefits will vary from person to person.

POSSIBLE BENEFITS OF CRYOTHERAPY *

  • Decreasing Muscle Soreness
  • Decreasing Pain
  • Reducing Swelling and Inflammation
  • Increasing Range of Motion
  • Improving Sleep
  • Boosting Energy
  • Accelerating Metabolism
  • Improving Skin

  • Relieving Joint Disorders, Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia

Most people who experience a whole body cryotherapy session report that they are in a better mood and have higher energy.  Some European studies show that clients have less anxiety/depression after cryotherapy – this may be due to an increase in endorphins.  Endorphins are chemicals released by the brain which blocks pain perception and may elicit the feeling of euphoria.  On a physical level, cryotherapy has been shown to increase connective tissue growth.  This helps athletes recover from injuries and it may help alleviate symptoms from arthritis, tendinitis, and chronic pain.  However, cryotherapy is not appropriate for people with liver disease and other health conditions, see list below.
